Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our dynamic team. As a Support Worker at Speedy Care Health, you will play a crucial role in providing person-centered support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring they lead fulfilling lives within their communities.
Key Responsibilites
1. Provide assistance with daily personal activities, respecting the unique needs and preferences of each individual.
2. Support in travel and transport arrangements, making daily journeys seamless and stress-free.
3. Engage individuals in innovative community participation activities tailored to their interests.
4. Facilitate the development of daily living and life skills, promoting independence and confidence.
5. Assist with household tasks to maintain a comfortable and organized living environment.
6. Encourage and support participation in community, social, and civic activities.
7. Collaborate with other team members and healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
Qualifications and Skills:
– Previous experience as a Support Worker or in a similar role is highly desirable.
– Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or related field.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Availability:
Flexible availability to accommodate the needs of the individuals we support, including weekends and evenings as required.
